PC Purify
The PC Purify
is a utility kit that's similar to the Super Utilities. It offers a wide
range of utilities which allow users to clean their system, wipe browsers
cache and cookies, manipulate with all kinds of plug-ins. Also it offers
variable settings that user can customize.

To use the
program fully, the user has to be really advanced. Incompetent working with
registry for instance can damage the system. Meanwhile let's check out PC
Purify's shredding feature.
Nice feature of
PC Purify is the Auto Quick Clean. You can easily press one button and all
extraneous data is erased. But I am not sure whenever it erases all
sensitive data like temporary files that are created by MS Office, for
instance, or not.

The File
Shredder is one of the utilities of this pack. It's not in the spotlight of
the program, I'd say. It works like most of the Shredders: User is supposed
to pick a file and program will destroy it. It has 4 methods of wiping as
you can see on the screenshot. The disadvantage of such shredder is
mentioned before: user can delete the actual file but still he might miss
the temporary file that contains data about the document. The program is not
able to search and then ask which files should be deleted and which are not.

The developer
of this software ensures that the software is fully configurable. But I
couldn't find any proof of that. Besides, Secure Tactics, the developer of
the software doesn't let users to get a trial version. I think it's too bad
because most of the analogous software is allowed to be downloaded in order
to be tried out by user. I can't think of any other reasons of not allowing
the trial-version download than that the developer wants to cover some
information about the program pack. For sure, there's a lot of info placed
on Secure Tactics web-site about the program, but still I would feel like I
am getting a pig in a poke.
The software is
available at www.securetactics.com
for $59.95.
