One can't miss the File Shredder Deluxe in the list of top ten file shredding software. Let's look throughout the program and consider all the pros and cons that it has.

As soon as I have launched the demo version I was surprised that the demo allows users to try programs 10 times. I mean, literally, the publisher allows you to launch the program only 10 times. Probably enough to try out the software but when the 'manufacturer' lets you use program for a month or so, one feels more pleased by the offer, you know.

Same with the Super Shredder, the Deluxe one's primary use is such when the user picks the necessary files for destroying by himself. It's no problem to destroy the actual file but programs usually create all kinds of back up files which are stored far beyond your usual system surfing. Check out the screen shot to get acquainted how it is supposed to be done.

Moreover, the sad thing is that the shredding takes time. I'd say quite a lot of it. See, one of my trash files, that I have manually selected, has been being deleted for about half a minute. Surely, 8 times of overwriting the file makes it unreal to access it in any way. But still, other's programs result is pretty much the same. Meanwhile, they are much faster!

I am not sure if I will find any pros about the program. Especially when it shut down twice when I was trying it out.

Surprisingly enough the Deluxe file shredder has a good feature. Users actually can search for the files that are supposed to be destroyed. Here you can search for all kinds of files you want to erase. No doubt it's a benefit.

This program's price is $60. I think it's quite overpriced.

Anyway, it's an appropriate program if you don't care about saving a 10 bucks or so and ready to encounter some problems with programs like shutting down and 'run-time errors number 64'.
